Fantastic Fest starts Thursday

The annual Fantastic Fest starts Thursday in Austin Texas and it's full of good stuff. How do we know? Because we've seen a bunch of the films already.

In order to help you with making choices here's some links to films we've reviewed and word on some others we've seen but haven't written up.

Belladonna of Sadness
Ruined Heart
Remake Remix Ripoff
Assassination Classroom
Ludo
Farewell Uncle Tom

And there are these we haven't run reviews of yet:

The Invitation- I saw this as part of BAMcinema Fest. Because I saw the film there I am restricted from saying more than a capsule about the film until the film comes out in March.  The film is what happens when a man and his new wife go to his old home, where his son died,  If you can't figure out what's going on you haven't seen many films. It maybe creepy but once you think about it and why people aren't behaving like real people it makes zero sense. I hate this film.

Tarkan vs The Viking when I reviewed all the other Tarkan movies (see here) I left this one off. All I can say this is an absolute blast. There is a reason this film is the only one officially released on a US home video

Doglegs-moving film about handicapped wrestlers in Japan. A review is coming...

The Assassin - is more talk then action. What action there is is choice. A full review will be coming during The New York Film Festival

Deathless Devil- More  Turkish cinema insanity
